A Business Developer is responsible for securing contracts and maintaining and developing relationships with new and existing customers. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Business Development.
Maintain existing relationships and contracts and create new partnerships to grow the business
Implement strategies designed to increase profitability
Meet the sales and company goals established by Company leadership
Conduct yourself in a professional manner when representing the Company
Attend board meetings to present proposals, establish relationships and acquire new or potential jobs
Attend trade shows, lunch and learns, and various other marketing events, occasionally outside of regular work hours
Job Skills/Qualifications:
Must have 2 years experience in the Tree Care or Landscape Maintenance industry
Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment
Strong verbal/written communication skills and exceptional time-management skills
Preferred Skills
ISA Certified Arborist
Ability to build a book of business
Estimating and proposal experience
Knowledgeable with the latest/best practices in tree management
