Role and Responsibilities:

A Business Developer is responsible for securing contracts and maintaining and developing relationships with new and existing customers. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Business Development.

  • Maintain existing relationships and contracts and create new partnerships to grow the business
  • Implement strategies designed to increase profitability
  • Meet the sales and company goals established by Company leadership
  • Conduct yourself in a professional manner when representing the Company
  • Attend board meetings to present proposals, establish relationships and acquire new or potential jobs
  • Attend trade shows, lunch and learns, and various other marketing events, occasionally outside of regular work hours

Job Skills/Qualifications:

  • Must have 2 years experience in the Tree Care or Landscape Maintenance industry
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong verbal/written communication skills and exceptional time-management skills

Preferred Skills

  • ISA Certified Arborist
  • Ability to build a book of business
  • Estimating and proposal experience
  • Knowledgeable with the latest/best practices in tree management
